Appreciate the warm welcome folks.

I'm kind oldskool when it comes to the old 'mary jane'. I prefer some of the older genetics tbh .

@pepperpicante - Blueberry is a standout cultivar imo . It's very hard to find the original now as I feel it's been somewhat 'watered down' over the yrs. it had one of the most unusual terpine profiles that carried through in your mouth when smoked. Mike at peak seeds bc carried the orig line but he's now moved on from the seed business. He also held orig C-99 which is another standout sativa that finished in 7and a half weeks. I've seen a lot of images on other forums of newer offerings of c-99 but they look nothing like the orig in humble opinion.

The original had a very thin narrow leaf structure with a 'claw' look to them. It's some of the most psychoactive sativa's I've ever had. Some of the old haze lines also float my boat thanks to Oldtimer1 , ( sadly now passed on) with his work he did on taming these monsters.

@Bodean - Currently have a haze line that I've kept for around 10 yrs. The terpine profile is pure in your face lemons and pine with a spiced undertone. She takes around 10-12 weeks to finish depending on personal preference. I'll post up a few pics as she's just started to go into flower. She looks amazing out doors when you let her have the full sun .This is where she shows her full potential imo.

@Captain Sternn - it sure is. I'm orig from the UK but fell in love with this country the moment I arrived 20 yrs ago. It has a great climate for growing also which is a bonus!

@Deebs - we're a little late in the season for a full journal but I'll post up a thread with my haze and you can catch the flowering faze at least. I'm sure it will put a smile on you dial when you see her .

fleur du mal seeds has the cindy 88 in stock. I've often thought about trying them for a phenohunt to get to a c99 That I remember.
That's serendipity mate😊 it was actually fdm that I obtained the original from around 2004! They went out of business for around 10 yrs and I think they started back up around 2018. Sadly I had to let my mother go when I moved out to New Zealand . Unfortunately seeds are still illegal to import here, so it's a lottery with customs. There's still some fire genetics out here tho that folk have held onto for a long time due to the seed laws.

I think our buddy @Amarok is a Peak seeds connoisseur. Im running a little c99 reproduction of peak c99 i believe.

That bud structure certainly looks familiar If my memory serves me correctly . The leaves were a little narrower with an upturned claw at the serrated edges. Mines were f2 so obviously there was variations. I had the sweet pineapple tropical fruit terpine profile thatb carried throughout the whole cycle pretty much. She also grew short covered with thick chunky nuggets.

@Amarok, we got another PSBC fan in here.

Welcome!

welcome!
north or south island? we did the north as part of our honeymoon. fantastic

I think brothers Grimm is supposed to have a Cindy 99 from around 2000?? not positive though
I'm in the North Island. I've noticed a lot more people from the USA moving out here over the last few yrs. Pssssssstt . Don't tell anyone about our little slice of paradise down here. 😆

I've read reviews of the brothers grimm version and they have been somewhat mixed. I can't say either way tbh.

Looking at message boards online the general consensus seems to be Fleur due mal (fdm) and the now defuntct peak seeds bc are the closest you may get to the early 2000 releases.
