Got my first bike in ‘07 which was a ‘92 Ninja 600 aka Top Gun. My next/last bike I got in’08 was a new ‘06 Honda VTX1300C. I sold it in 2019 and have been without since. I need to build a covered area to keep one otherwise it gets too grimy living outside

You could have at least tugged off one spark plug wire,, to make it more familiar for him.

I had to wait 10mins for him to catch up when I was on my bike. I forgot his style of riding is a turtles pace. Mine was quite the opposite. 2 reasons why I quit riding the streets. 1 all the FN idiot ass cage drivers on the road. 2 it's no fun not being able to hammer it thru the twisties like I could at the track.

I still ride once in awhile. Im just afraid that if I ever layed it down, I wouldnt be strong enough to stand it back up. It sucks getting old.

There's a trick to picking up a motorcycle. Face away from it, 1 hand on the bars or tank, other on the seat or rear cowl. Lift with your legs like a squat. But it's easier on a 400lb sportbike vs a 700lb couch.....I mean Harley.

I rode until about 2012. Too many accidents. My favorite bike was a Triumph Rocket III. Badass bike!

I bought my first bike when I was 17, a 1981 Suzuki GS750E that was missing keys and a few parts. Got keys made, found the parts I needed, cleaned the carbs and threw it together. It was a great bike for $200.

Later I bought a 1980 Honda CB 650 and a parts bike for $350, it had a lowering kit in the rear and a sticker where the muffler should be, "Loud pipes save lives". It was really fun to just cruise around on, and it was always nice to have a spare bike for friends to ride.

Owned and rode a few bikes over the years starting early 80s
Kawasaki KX 80
KDX 250
GPZ 900 loved it . Best bike ever
ZZR 1100
Honda XR 250
VF 750 ( piece of shit , handled like a shopping trolly ) swapped for weed
Triumph
Daytona 675 triple ( scary at times )
Probably forgotten a couple . Breaking my back going over the bars in the Sandhills was sort of a wake up call .

Here's a link to a few vids I took while I had my fun.

Dayum! It's 23yrs ago. I'm getting old I guess.
Got some great footage happening . Showing some decent skill there matey .
Loved watching the old 500cc Grand Prix series back in the day . Mick Doohan , Eddie Lawson , Wayne Rainey , Wayne Gardner . Back when only a few could tame those 2 stroke beasts . Moto GP today zzzzzzzz ?

Slow, Dumb, Fun, summarizes my love for small bore scooters.
I have a 2006 Honda Big Ruckus or PS250, simple twist and go.
I'm posting up a generic photo, as my up grades, can pin point me.
I have some OEM up grades, large rear storage rack, leg shields, wind screen, and a dedicated rear basket for hauling stuff.
I've toured from Pennsylvania to North Carolina and back, a few times.
I adore riding down through Maryland, into Virginia, then into NC!
America has Routes built beside the super slabs, and NO ONE uses them!
I take all off the beaten paths I can find, and LOVE riding them, in my Slow, Dumb, Fun, way.

I have wire covers over my head lights, and I keep a leather pouch, on that wee ledge above the head lights.
I just love the ugly, naked look of it. And, 70 mpg is cool to.
I'd hoped to run in the Scooter Cannonball this year, from California to South Carolina, in 8-9 days, all on 300 cc's or less.

Anyone ever rode "The Dragon" in Tennessee? I used to ride in a club, and most members would go there for a week every yr.

I forgot about the '85 Honda spree I had. Some fakers stole it. It was a police recovery, and I had to rewire the entire thing. Thanks to honda for sending me the wiring diagram, and my auto technology background I repaired it. I wrecked that damn thing also. The road tore me up!!
