saw a high times article that US gov't will be making hemp products back to a Sch 1 drug.

without getting too political, this can't be good for seeds, clones, etc. online if true

haven't seen this on any other websites so hope HT is legit info
 
Its very true. On another forum, 99% of the guys who sling thca (and using the 2018 loophole) are all freaking out. At least the ban isn't happening immediately. I have to restock on some diamonds and a few other products before the ban hammer (brought back bad memories from my mod days) swings.
 
I've never smoked hemp , I actually feel sorry if people are actually smoking hemp. Weed is legal in nearly state so I'm not even sure what a hemp "ban" is even supposed to be.
If they're banning fake weed that's probably a good thing.
 
there is some argument as to whether what's being sold is actually hemp or it's weed that they are posing as hemp so they can sell it.
If you've never seen it, well..it looks a lot like weed......like tumbled dispo buds in particular.......it's weird dum dum buzz for the most part...........not awful either, lol. And those millenials are scapping up 1/4 lb's of popcorn buds for $99. Most folks swear that it's weed....I'm not sure what it is, but definitely strange! Frosty as hell too.
 
But the thing is, EVERYTHING has THCa in it. It's your lighter/wick/torch that converts it to THC. So it potentially threatens to ban everything 🤷‍♂️ California dispos have dealt with Federal sweeps and crackdowns in the past, so it's not a new threat but it's still a potentially painful & costly one.

There's also this fear on a crackdown on genetics sale & distribution but IMO that's always been a looming fear, moreso in some places.
 
This is exactly why I only smoke what I personally grow!!! Way too much bullshit out on the market and to be honest most of it isn't actual cannabis...Hemp is a close cousin of cannabis but it sure the hell isn't the real deal. But if your just searching for a cheap buzz and will try anything related to cannabis to get it then...

Same here. I don't trust any weed they offer here in NY. Not until they can explain where those 300k lbs went the first year when they let farmers start growing but delayed the roll out. Just where did all that weed go???? Then after that, they stopped testing for mold..... f them seriously..

A NY pre-roll???? I don't think so :)

The hemp bans people from exploiting the thca loophole. They test with out heat to be under .3% thc. The dea tests a heated sample, thus the new guidelines, samples MUST be tested with heat. Heat removes the A molecule to make it psychoactive.

Ya NY is an absolute shitshow for a cannabis market! Im about 45 mins from Corning, NY and we grow all our own cannabis completely indoors and organically. I haven't even set foot in a NY dispensary nor would I ever...
 
I've been to the dispo twice just out of curiosity and to say I did. Their top shelf flower was nothing special. I did like the Live Rosin but the stuff makes me so lethargic and lazy I can't use it on the regular. I've been strictly smoking my flower and hash for the last 2 years and I'd just assume to keep it that way.
 
So we have 365 days to exploit he loophole? Maybe some of the big players will have a crashing out sale.

Hemp is cannabis — they’re the same plant species.


The difference is legal definition and THC content, not the plant biology.
