I have never run Stardawg and would like to give it a shot in a greenhouse this season. I have three different kinds to choose from:

- Hazeman Stardawg F2
- Useful Stardawg F3
- Heisen Stardawg Corey Cut S1

I’m looking to increase my chances at the best representation of what Stardawg should be.

Which one would be your choice, and why?

Tough choice. I'm not familiar with too much here. F2s will offer some nice phenos . And I'm sure the s1 is a good representation. Sorry I can't help more. That's very exciting though!!
I see what strains Star dog has created and it's basically legendary at this point. Imo ?

I would go with Hazeman f2.
I gave a plant to my Aunt she raved about it.
Thats my only experience with Stardawg. Got 3 more seeds, might have to drop.

I have no experience with the Stardawg - but have been curious about the Guava cut. Looking forward to what @OldG or maybe @Senokai will have to say about the 3 choices.

@spyralout , I've grown the Heisen ECSD x Stardawg and it was "full" of fuel!
It was a medium stretch, full up plant with rock hard buds.

I have grown the Corey Haim and Kate Upton Stardawgs...not the Guava or Illuminati.

Grown Corey Haim by Greenpoint and Corey Haim crosses by bad dawg
Kate Upton and F2s from Greenpoint.

For mass and power Corey Haim is the best of what I have grown. Kate Upton is a BEAST, Greenpoint used that for almost their entire line and I think its easy to find keepers with Stardawg.

The one I REALLY want to grow is the Stardawg IX from Top Dawg... and Deep Breath

I have a corey haim going on now....and will have something with Stardawg IX very soon. One thing about Stardawg, it will not disappoint regardless of which you grow.

• Illuminati and Corey Haim are the heavy-hitters and top the others with higher potency. Top Dawg Genetics has also used Stardawg as a parent strain, crossing it with Triangle Kush and Legend OG to create I-95. It’s known for its funky sour and diesel-like essence. Prospective growers can score seeds for Stardawg online.

Well there is this strain called gunslinger....and i was going to grow it BUT

I think instead i will make Wild Bill... Starfighter F6 X Creme 4 A better gunslinger.

I gotta agree with Frim. I'd rock Useful. I grew out his Mint Chocolate Trip and got 7 or 8 different phenos, ALL were legit top shelf smoke. That chocolate diesel he uses is a producer of the dank.

I don't know much about Stardawg except I grew Hazeman's Comet Kush which is (The White x Stardawg x Stardawg IX)... I think I got 10 or 11 to germ and then after sexing ended up with 2 females. Some say if I didn't have bad luck I'd have no luck at all.

Anyway, both girls had great growth structure, as advertised with large golf ball shaped nugs close to the stem. The plant remained very short and stout, the buds were solid and had decent bag appeal but lacked in smell and taste. I got a little over a half zip per plant, which was amazing because the plant wasn't even pushing the limits of a 2 gallon pot. The smell was very odd, it smelled sweet almost like how stamps taste. Weird. A longer veg and a little training would go a long, long way.

While I would definitely try another pack, if I had both in front of me like you, I'd go with Useful. I'm unsure if his gear has ever disappointed anyone.

Useful's got my vote.

There's also the Greenpoint F2's. Greenpoint also did a BX iirc, that's what the supposed beef between JJ and Gu was about. The F2's came later and was pretty much Gu giving JJ the finger lol.

I've got the two corey S1's I got in a trade a while ago going right now. Just seedlings, but hoping for some fire.

Thanks everyone for the input. FWIW, everything I have from Heisen was first drop back in April 2019, this was before he joined GU and Greenpoint so I don’t know if that makes a difference. I believe H’s cut is different from the ones GU used his stud male on.
I agree a battle royale would be badass. Once I put put up the greenhouse and pick out the other flavors I’m running I’ll see if I have space for all three. Maybe even if small pots. If not I will have to pick just one.

I think it's mostly the PP crosses that haven't been so great. IME, there were a lot of herms and weaksauce highs in those crosses. Can't speak to the new AC crosses. I'll put it this way, I've popped pretty much all of his 2019 release beans, and have been impressed, but I have no plans to run anymore of those PP crosses at all. H's s1's were from his corey cut. Not sure what females Gu hit with his stud for the F2 release, but I want to say they were females from JJ's original release. Gu had several packs of those so it stands to reason he also had female keepers.

Although I've not have Stardawg or grown it, it has very nice genetics from what I recall, and since it's got Chem family I'll probably be asking what it smells like when you pick one lol.

Is Chem4 a Phenotype of the original? I read an article one day saying that even Chem D was a Phenotype of the original but I've also seen that it's two strains bred together.

I need to find some of that either way lol, I've not had a Chem cross that I didn't love!

Chem 4 and Chem D were from the same bag seed that the Chem 91 was found in, at least thats the story we’ve been told.

You might be able to find some Copper Chem by greenpoint. It’s chem 4 x stardawg
