A spicy pheno??

Is spicy weed a real thing? I just cured some banana punch cocktail and I swear it's spicy on the throat. Straight up pepper spicy. The other dominant terp is menthol. I've never personally had a spicy strain until now. I've seen it stated that Caryophyllene is the terpene that makes weed spicy. So I guess it does exist. What you guys think?

The Banana Punchsicle Bx1 is really spicy. It seems to be mellowing a little as it cures but yeah there's spicy terps for sure. A lot of skunks and cheeses have some spiciness to them also. I'm still not quite sure if it's my thing or not, however I really like the stone from a lot of the spicier plants.

You should. Just gave some chosen Juan away to a chef friend and he said “yum, peppery”, it does kinda have a fresh ground peppercorn smell. Real nice stuff.

Some of the spicy stuff really hits my nose hard. Clears me right out.
