@Kanzeon , What part of Thailand did you visit? One of my favorite places, love the people, food, architecture, and omfg the weed. Looking to make my 3rd trip back in the next year or two.
I haven't gotten to Bangkok, besides the airport, nor Pattaya. Both trips we stayed in Ubon Ratchathani where my wife's family is from. We did road trips almost everyday for 3 weeks, saw a good portion of the eastern part of the country. Went to so many stunning temples. The 1st time I smoked there, it was the highest I've been in my life. Laying in bed, my heart was pounding out of my chest, I had CEVs of the Buddha, and OEVs of geckos scurrying across the ceiling! Paranoia set in hard, I thought the police were coming for me, it was nuts, good times
Glad to hear you had a great experience over there.
Turns out a trip to Thailand and Hong Kong is a pretty fucking good antidepressant.
I got to see Moo Deng.
Bro I love that chunky mess! LOL.
Damn, I LOVE Thailand.... Not only do they have some of the best food ever, they spice it right too. Not to mention the sheer number of Catfish species they have that are capable of grabbing even my big ass. They have Goonch, and they have a world record for largest verified / weighed freshwater fish ever caught; 646 pounds for a Catfish. They also have giant freshwater Sting rays.
I'd be dead though..... We both know I'd be dying of heat exhaustion in a Jungle, and see a big cat and try to pet it LOL.
Oh man that would be so cool to see. I think my main issue would be wanting to pet her LOL. Not the only thing, or most dangerous thing that I'd want to pet in that country though. She was so cute! Ramming her mom and doing a barrel roll were the highlights while I was there.
Yeah I've made friends with people from Thailand before, mostly from the restaurant business because of my love of their style of food. They consider heat a basic flavor, and on average, they have the spiciest cuisine on the planet. I love that personally haha.Honestly it's not much different than Southern MI, except there's more wind and fewer mosquitoes in Thailand. It's hot in Thailand, but it doesn't get much over 90, let alone the triple digit days that tend to happen in August there. The big difference is UV rays are much more intense there, so time in the sun needs to account for that or real sunburns happen.
But yeah, you'd love the fishing and food. The scenery is gorgeous. The people are lovely. There's durian and weed everywhere. Going back next year 100%.

Yeah that's another thing I'd like to see; an actual Durian Fruit for me to sniff LOL. The Mekong river holds a special place in my heart too; the largest Freshwater fish ever caught, was pulled there. A 646 pound CatfishI'd likely get yanked in but it'd be easier than trying to pet a Tiger like an idiot.
@Psychobilly , you can pet a tiger there, too. Apparently they sedate them enough where you can lay down next to them. Not for me, but I've seen some pics from friends and family that have done it.
