This is my home built undercurrent, it utilizes splash aeration to plant sites. 250 gph air pump to reservoir, 330gph water pump, 2 inch pvc, 5.3 gallon buckets. System is expandable to 8 sites. I use rubber cord grommets for the electrical cords that run in the reservoir (not seen in pic) I also run a chiller as well. I’ve got this set up pretty dialed in and it produces quality and quantity! Got my cake and eating it too!

I'm interested in your choice to pass that 2" PVC through the bucket. Grommet? Bulkhead? Diy magic?

Bulkheads, then uniseal bulkheads for hoses up top. The bulkheads and the buckets were the most expensive parts.

Those bulkhead fittings are not cheap, I was hoping you found a magic combo that worked.

They weren’t as bad as you think though. What really killed me was the buckets. $35 a bucket or 60 for 4. The 2 inch bulk heads were I think $12 a bulk head so x6 You can go a little cheaper, the bulkheads I have on top aren’t that expensive. Uniseal bulkheads.
