Stanley Cup fans?

this day is going by so slowwwwwwwwww...

guess i'll make a bit of QWET to make the time pass .

can't wait for game 7 but don't want this to be the last game of the season either.

hope the Oilers make history (for the 2nd time I guess)

some of this to start tailgating!

I never thought I would say this but.....I hope the oilers take it! ...I mean, let's be honest if Florida wins no one will really care but if the oilers win Canada will explode. (Plus, I like oil 😂). I also hope it's a close game. I never like blow outs in game 7. Now if you were playing the Kings .well... different story. 😉...

not a bad game 7. congrats to the Panthers.

2 thoughts by me in hindsight:

1. was Draisaitl dealing with an injury in the last few games? think he only had 1 point in all 3
2. should have pulled Skinner with more time left in the 3rd.

That's all folks! Great series! And now, nothing...
Yeah, that's a bummer. I'm a Hawks fan, and I can remember the depression that set in even after they won those cups. No hockey for several months.

I want to also say that this was the best finals I have seen in a while. I fully expected Florida to crush Edmonton after them going up 3-0 but wow did the Oilers rebound. I think they were gassed in game 7. And injured of course.

When you hear about the laundry list of injuries these guys have been playing through, it gives you a real respect and appreciation for the sport. These men are warriors. There's no other way to describe it.

Puck yeah!
Hang on for just a bit longer. The action starts up again in just over 3 weeks! September 21 is the date and I'll be watching my Blues face the Dallas Stars.
I will pay some attention to the KC Chiefs but I'm tired of Kelce and I'm really tired of that Swift girl! That said, maybe I'll just do NHL this year.

You could cheer for Da Bears instead.. I'm a big Hawks fan too. And Cubs fan. But we can still be friends.

I left the region when I turned 30 and haven't looked back! I was there for the Bears Superbowl season and that was the only highlight I recall. My dad's company had season ticks for the bears and Blackhawks. I went to every Hawks game I was offered [maybe 12-15 games in total] but only witnessed 1 win in person.
I was in Denver when the Av's took the cup in the mid 2000's, and here in Mo, when the Blues won it all. Chicago had about 20 years to give me a team and failed epically! Such a shame, as there is a rabid fanbase, even for mediocrity!

Yeah, Chicago sports fans know a lot about mediocrity. My grandpa loved and died, never seeing a Cubs World Series. They ended up winning in 2016, and he died in Jan of that year. They've been pretty mediocre since then. At least they are better than the Sox.

The Bears have had a little success in my lifetime (one Superbowl and perhaps the best defense ever in 1985), and then they had a few playoff appearances and a Superbowl loss to the Colts. I live in Colts country, and that was a hard pill to swallow for a while.

The Blackhawks had a great early 2010s. I enjoyed the 3 cup wins in 5 years. But it wasn't without a price. They mortgaged their future for their success, and are just now rebuilding the team. I expect them to be much better this season. The Blues will have a challenge this time around.

It'll be fun to chat hockey when the season starts. Also, what a bummer about Gaudreau. That's a huge loss to hockey, as well as to his family. It's also very sad that his brother died as well. He was a really talented player, and had some absolutely awesome years in Calgary. He wasn't the player in Columbus that he was in Calgary. But he was a solid veteran. He'll be missed..

haven't been watching many games so far this new season. my pirate streaming site was the one over in Turkey ( I think?) Streameast that got busted big time. Used to be able to watch my Flyers and the Avalanche.
No more. Damn.

Avalance (altitude sports) is still in a pissing contest with DishTV so haven't seen a rockies, nuggets or avs game in a few years now.

I'm hearing there's a sportsurge in the dot net if one were inclined to sail.
