Wondermelon-313 Seeds- Veg-RDWC

#1 is my favorite structure wise. She has a nice open branching pattern. All the budsites barely have leaves growing in front of them. She's just bushing out so nice. I will have my eyes on her. Others are a little bushier with more robust stems. They are getting fat and extremely stubborn. They all want to grow up and not bush out. I've been smashing and training them as much outward as I can. I will soon start putting some LST clips on them. All and all I'm stoked and couldn't be more confident with this system. Seems to work very well. You have to stay on the maintenance of cleaning the Venturis and changing the water weekly.

Man. #1 is impressive. With her candelabra structure, open branching, and ability to grow sites without having any leaf covering them. Such an easy plant to grow. Her branches are not the thickest nor the skinniest. So much to look forward to.

All are doing well. Starting to turn into some nice looking plants. #1 is the different one out of the others. She is just busting out with flower sites. Gonna take some cuts in a few days. Also, I got the Bluelab Guardian. Game changer. I have noticed the PH has been wanting to stay at 5.7 for the last week. I adjust to 5.9. Then a few hours later it's back at 5.7. I'm learning that a 4 bucket system requires a lot of nutrients. Almost out of my first quart of DynaGrow. I want something that goes a lot farther than Dynagro does. But the higher I raise my Ppm the lower my ph drops. So it's a fine balancing act of keeping all your # in check. I have always been a low to light feeder. I know I need to boost it up. Trying to get up to 1000 has really opened my eyes to what these plants need. Feeding light is the safe route, but pushing them to there optimum is what I am going for in the future. If anyone knows a stronger hydro line of nutes. Please chime in. Later Growmies!

Hope I didn't lose these to far. This run is giving me issues. Once I kicked the ppms up to over 1000. I started seeing the ph drop down to 5.5 , 5.2. I adjusted but it kept dropping down. I don't wanna play the ph game. Also leaves are becoming very yellow. All the new growth appears that way as well. I did a res change and filled the water up higher than I was keeping it. I believe I had it a little to low. So I got the ppms at 830 now and ph is sitting at 5.8. #4 is not looking the best out the bunch. #1 is a proper bush. Gonna keep pushing forward and try to get to flower once I get the plants back green.

Being in hydro, those have probably already "bounced back" since your post lol. TBH, they still didint look bad in your last set of pics.

I would ignore all the latin, that is just taking the effect and making it the cause. Like saying, 'how do I treat gangrene'.
Whereas gangrene does not affect healthy tissue. Prevention simply entails the absence of necrotic cells.

Some of these issues coincide with a water line that is too high. I am curious to see a photo.

I once had a net pot slip out of a station. It only fell down a couple of inches, but that was far enough to get the trunk too close to the water. That was the first ( and only) time I ever saw a fully mature plant wither away and die.

I believe all my problems are due to SuPer Thrive. I believe they have changed the formula. I heard another guy talking about it as well, supposedly they omitted 2 ingredients that they used to have. I didn't do a side by side of the bottles to see exactly what it's missing. I never used to much cal mag when running dynagrow in the past because I remember that they had it in the mix. Not sure if it's in the super thrive. Though I did just add a few more ml of calmag to my buckets. I think the yellowing is slowing. I will never use the SuperThrive again. I have a shipment of CropSalt granular on the way. Gonna run that with RunClear. I've used there granular that's similar to GrowDots in soil and loved the results. I grew many plants with just water and the pellets, itwould not break down through a whole Photoperiod run. So I believe my problem with the RDWC was not enough Cal Mag. Also I need to remove all elbows and tees to inspect for any signs of cloggage. Also need to remember to wait at least 30 minutes before adding new nutes to the buckets. I have a feeling I created a bit of lockout from putting the nutes in one bucket And not waiting for each one to go through and formulate each bucket. Thanks for chiming in everyone. Onward and upward 👆 or sideways.

That's some solid advice Jay. As to my situation I believe I didn't have the water high enough. I think it's true because if u look at my roots coming out during the first few weeks. They were not growing evenly, they sort of just shot out of a side of the cube. So I didn't pay to much attention to the water level as per my brain thought it was fine since the roots were hanging in the water. I think by doing it that way, they grew kinda shitty and didn't shoot out roots all the way around. I now have the water pretty close to the bottom of my cube. As this system doesn't have any media. I can see exactly where I should keep the water. Gonna leave it up here for a while and see how they do.

I think these girls are back on track. #4 is looking deathly. But she's getting new roots pushing out over the top. I believe I figured out the problem I was having. Damn clogs . Something was stuck in the lines causing that bucket to not get any flow. So this Hydra system is not the best imo. I will be building my own after this run. Like I was changing the venturis out weekly. But u know where the problem was. In my chiller line. Some little piece of crap root or leaf or dirt got stuck.. so I didn't know , so I took off the lines and blew in them. I bought a pressure gauge for my chiller . Not here yet. Also bought the 9 bucket FloraFlex drip and drain catch for my soil runs. Next is a sump pump and 44 gal can. Also bought a pond liner. Going to be doing some fancy stuff to the basement. Well new, not fancy. I'm going to close off all the crappy walls that surround my basement. they need painted and sealed, they create dust and debris. My idea is to just contain it the way it is. I'm pond lining the floor. The walls. I may just put some thin furring strips up so I have something to attach my white plastic too. Everything is going to be hospital white and clean.
